Donelli Vini S.p.A. has obtained, to date, certification in compliance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 (issued by Certiquality), BRC and IFS standards (by CMI-Italy).
Donelli Vini can add to these certifications the positive results obtained following audits carried out by specialized organizations (such as the Canadian GFTC for example), on behalf of important customers in the international large-scale distribution sector.

UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 Certification

The standards of the ISO 9000 series have been drawn up by ISO (International Organization for Standardization), to define the international requirements for quality.
The quality system of an organization is the combination of organizational structures, responsibilities, procedures, processes and resources implemented in order to accomplish and manage quality.
ISO 9000 are internationally valid general standards designed for application to any type of process or corporate sector. The first version of the standards was published in 1987, with a first revision in 1994 and publication of the version currently in force in 2000. While the standards introduced in 1994 were aimed mainly at the satisfaction of contractual requirements in the relationship between customer and supplier, only partly referring to the continuous improvement of every aspect of the entire organization process, ISO 9001:2000 focuses much more on customer satisfaction, loyalty and the improvement of the competitive aspect of organization on the market. In the 2000 edition, the customer becomes the reference point for the development of company activities and the systematic measurement of the degree of customer satisfaction is used to generate the continuous improvement programmes of the company’s activities and processes which the organization must define and pursue, preparing appropriate performance indexes for each one.

BRC and IFS Certification

IQNetCISQCertquality The BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Standard for foodstuffs and the IFS (International Food Standard) are specific standards for food safety systems and are the operating instruments used mainly by players in the agricultural-alimentary chain to select and qualify their suppliers.
Now considered to be a necessary requisite for operation in the sector, these standards allow demonstration of the company’s commitment to food safety, quality and respect for the standards that regulate the agricultural-alimentary sector. The BRC standard, developed by the British Retailer Consortium (BRC), is designed to check the conformity of suppliers to the legal and safety-related requirements of foodstuffs.
The standard is currently acknowledged by most of the British retail chains, service enterprises which operate in the agricultural-alimentary sector and by an increasing number of European distribution chains. Originally developed by German retailers (BDH), the IFS Standard is quickly becoming a fundamental requirement, inasmuch as it is required by numerous European retail distribution chains, especially in Germany, France and Italy. Both standards define requirements which mainly regard the implementation of an HACCP system and of a documented quality system, and the monitoring of products, processes, staff and environmental conditions within the plant.
